Dear fellow traveler,

This Spring I found myself pondering anew the miracle of egg shaped buds bursting into green. Not just one flower or leaf, no, a whole universe of leaves, stems, blooms, whole trees!

Have you noticed?

May be walking with my toddler lets me participate in her perspective, and seeing the world through her eyes as I would see it for the very first time.

Surely there is wisdom in celebrating Easter in Spring. And also in choosing the egg as a symbol. 🐣

But it is the alive egg which holds all life within. As the buds growing on bare branches come Spring, so the fertilized egg grows into the new life.

CG Jung ones said: God is in the egg.

And I can’t agree more.

Ponder the egg shaped miracles before you. Or as CG Jung writes it in his famous Red Book:


“Set the egg before you,
The God in the beginning.

And behold it.
