I so enjoy read ing your Cloister Notes! They offer me peace and comfort in trying times such as these. Your references of growing up in East Germany offer me hope
Thank you for the words and especially the series of gorgeous North Shore photos including at least two people having fun in the wind and cold. Stepping away to find strength and even wisdom for the hard tasks at hand seems important... you have given us a way to step away, if only briefly ...thank you.
I’m sorry, I can’t figure out how to do it, but I’m still very mich a beginner. I also wanted to say I appreciate your perspectives from when you were growing up in East Germany. My son was an exchange student just outside Hamburg in the late 90s. His host parents were Baptist. His host mom just commented to me that she is bewildered by all that is happening in the US. She was an exchange student to the US herself.
Janet, yes, unfortunately there is no way to share files in the comments but you could just respond to my email when ever you want to attach a file. We are all beginners 😇

Offering peace and comfort is more I can hope for, Ann. 🙏
‘ I hope nature will remind you of the dance of beauty mingled with bareness and the wild.’

So glad it worked, Anne 😇
I feel safe in the forest. I feel closer to our Creator there, that's how I feel!

Ich fühle mich im Wald geborgen. Da bin ich unserem Schöpfer näher, so empfinde ich das!
The forest is a lovely place to get grounded again, I agree 🙏
The splendor of fire
Lovely line, indeed.
I feels almost like an “oxymoron” in its use, because we hear much more negativity due to fire destruction.
Right, just like the sea can be both or the wind or the sun. It is this fine tuned balance we long for, isn’t it?
Love the North Shore pictures. I even painted one that you posted. Thank you for your sane and precious words in these difficult times!
Bless you, Janet. I would love to see your drawing!

Glad to hear that, Mary, thank you.
