Almut, I second the comments about the photos! I am tending my new native garden, something going on in my body and my inner life where I've been wandering for 50 some years...Something is not right in my cosmos....The gardening seems to help.
I'm so grateful that you pulled together all your gardening content into one section and am lookiing forward to luxuriously reading them! I just finished reading a book you might enjoy, called "Why Women Grow: Stories of Soil, Sisterhood and Survival" by Alice Vincent. The author travels to women's gardens (mainly in England and a few European countries) to meet with women in their gardens and find out about what their motivations are. It was a lovely meditation on loss and caregiving and flowers.
Oh, this is so meaningful to me, thank you, Almut. My journey of late has been to notice... what is surprising me, or resonating with me, or teaching me? "To put your hands to what is growing" speaks to my soul today. I am sensing my spirit is growing, deepening, after lying fallow for quite some time. Thank you for your presence here. Oh, and safe travels!
I have saved your post, and read it again and again. I share your view of the monastery as a metaphor - sacred work happens in the garden, and I feel at peace, connected to the living world around me. Thank you for sharing this.
Thank you for the beauty and calm of your photos and reflections, for your gentle tug on my sleeve, asking me to slow down, to see the day unfold. Gute Reise!
Thank you for another healing blessing. My heart continues to heal from the grief of the recent winter, this week with help from my daughter and her husband. We are vacationing with friends on a beautiful island along the eastern shore of North Carolina. Time with them, good food, conversation, time on the beach watching the wavesโฆall so healing.
Blessings to you Almut and your daughter, as you travel and connect with family!
Thank you. I think of you often. Reread your November post which I read months ago. Bob and I traveled a lot in recent years including a trip to Berlin, Dresden, and Leipzig with lots of history and classical music.
Each offering of your touches my soul deeply. My garden everywhere around my home is medicine for my soul and it strengthens me In so many ways. I have some giant hostas too. They cause me to giggle and smile. I send blessings for your journey back home. Celebrate friends, family, life along the way! My best.
Thank you Almut. You gifted me a momentary pause as I visualized your peaceful morning capturing the morning dew drops on your wildflower garden. I shared your sense of calm and gratitude for the gifts of Spring and its beauty. Sending you and your beautiful family blessings for safe travels and enjoyment in Germany! ๐ฉ๐ช ๐๏ธ

Blessings on your travel.๐๐๐
Thank you so much, Marian. I cannot even take credit for the droplets. I held my camera into the flowers and there they were! ๐
With thanks for the many gifts you give and the thoughts you share, and with prayers for safe travels and a good and holy journey -

Kit
