"From the monastic infirmary we learn that weakness needs its room, that we must come to terms with, and even welcome, our vulnerabilities, our brokenness and our need for healing."

Amen. Thank you for such inspired offering.

Almut- Your deep insight on garden as bridge between exterior and interior is music to my soul, which also was warmed by the cloister photographs (the culmination of which was of course the outdoor tea-drinking moment). This, is what life is about. 🙏

Thank you, Thalia, and thank you for being here at this Cloister with us. I love how much the garden is incorporated in the Cloister architecture. Monastics are so hood in creating spaces which bring heart and mind together, the outer and the inner space. I have been wondering how this could be translated into a virtual space. What do you think?

Thank you for these beautiful words

and reminders of our invitation into life culturing that counters pressures of anxiety and commodification of productivity. The garden with Hildegarde and other pilgrims is a wonderful place to be today. Thank you! 🌱

"Retreating to the garden." I find that I am having to retreat more often these days - to fortify myself each day anew. Perhaps it's age. Perhaps it's the sadness I feel with our world events. Thank you for the soothing words and images you shared with us. It was a lovely retreat.
