Liebe Almut, Your call to solitude is like a deep quiet pool of clear water at the end of a long hike. Thank you.

It is easy to fill one's time alone with voices and noise, even (especially?) worthwhile sources like audio books, podcasts, and news. It takes discipline to turn those off and ponder for a while. Thanks for the encouragement to do so.

Thank you, Donna, and yes, it is not easy to not distract oneself from walking inside oneself.

Vast solitude seems like a familiar stranger…it is for me… the absence of knowing. And in the unknowing, a litany of wondering, doubting, insecurity of purpose, meaning, and misunderstood communion.

I listen for the voice that does not answer in the quiet, OR was it muffled by the rustling of my feet on the walking path? I strain for the form, creature or thing that draws my attention, and ask…is this what You want me to notice…and is this language of my noticing…Your telling?
